I am a photographer and have lived in Jerusalem for over a decade. My interests have predominantly involved landscape and travel photography.
Here in Jerusalem, one is surrounded by iconic remnants of history and classical architectural beauty. A prime example is the old city where the photographer has the opportunity to convey the aesthetic effect produced by the variation in both the quality and intensity of light falling on the different types of the “Jerusalem Stone”, which has been used over the centuries for buildings and thoroughfares. My images also demonstrate the apparent endeavor to harmonize more recent reconstruction with the elegance and simplicity of structures, which have survived Jerusalem’s long history of destruction and rebuilding.
Fine art prints for many of these images are available for purchase. Please see contact details.
Before coming to Israel, I lived in Perth in Australia, where I conducted a vascular surgical and medico-legal practice.
